Lawrence V. Jackson

Mr. Jackson was elected to Assurant’s board of directors in July 2009. He is a senior advisor with New Mountain Capital, LLC, a New York-based private investment firm, and serves as a board member for several of the firm’s private portfolio companies. He also currently serves as chair of the board of directors for SourceMark, LLC. Previously, Mr. Jackson served as president and chief executive officer of the global procurement division and as the executive vice president and chief people officer of Wal-Mart Stores, Inc. Prior to that role, he was the president and chief operating officer of Dollar General Corporation.
